Partnerships

The Carework Network has three kinds of partnerships.

Connections

Connections are links to groups with aligned goals, allies advancing care.

Collaborations

Collaborations are sites where we partner with another entity to produce knowledge or action.

Institutional Supports

Institutional Supports are ongoing relationships to build and sustain the capacity of the Carework Network.

The Southern Gerontological Society has been our Institutional partner since 2021. SGS provides financial and administrative assistance crucial to the sustainability of the Network. SGS also enables the Network to organize in-person conferences and virtual events, providing both technical and administrative support. Finally, SGS engages in ongoing intellectual collaborations with the Network at the important intersection of care and gerontology. Here are some recent examples.

The Center for Women and Work at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell has been our institutional partner since 2016. Between 2016 and 2021, CWW provided administrative and logistical support to the Carework Network.  CWW was particularly instrumental in partnering with the Carework Network to host the first Global Carework Summit at UMass Lowell in 2017. In addition to administrative infrastructure, CWW has also provided an affiliation with a group of researchers working on care work issues. The Center Currently, the Center hosts and manages our listserv.
